Give a child the gift of the outdoors and a better understanding of their world
Outward Bound® offers courses designed for children devoid of parental care, children from the street and children at risk. This course gives children the unique opportunity to understand themselves and those around them. The children face and overcome various problems such as self esteem, communication, team work ... and provide a relaxing safe environment in nature.
This program accentuates building confidence in one's own capabilities, assuming responsibility, reaching personal goals, respect for nature and leadership skills. Our instructors that lead these trainings are professionally trained to work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Some of our programs include "improve our home" which focuses on skills to improve the child's living situation. New Horizons is a transitional program to help youth 17-18 who will be living independently after they are legally adult. "Just for staff" is a review of methods and skills to help caregivers advance their careers and their daily life with children.
We have created programs for over twenty highly regarded social organizations.
Here at Outward Bound® we feel this is an invaluable program, which is why we donate a portion of our proceeds to sponsor children all over Bulgaria. Gratefully, private and corporate donations have also immensely helped with the enrichment of these disadvantaged children.
